Using Camo Netting for a Birthday Party
My teenage son celebrated his 18th birthday and as you might imagine, boys his age are full of life and energy; my husband and I decided to celebrate his birthday by throwing a huge paintball party for Josh. We rented the equipment from a local paintball store and the ghillie suits along with the camo nettings we purchased online. I also ordered a cake and bought some paper plates and very colorful silverware from the nearby grocery store. I cannot explain how easy the whole process of getting everything done was for us.
We invited 12 of Josh’s friends and since we knew the boys pretty well from our son’s school and some of them were our neighbors, we invited a few parents as well. The celebration took place in a local park that is an hour away from our home; it took the boys maybe an hour to divide the kids in two teams and each team build their own home-bases that were made out of the camo nettings that we brought with us. I must admit, the bases looked quite impressive! They totally blended in with the natural colors and you really had to pay attention if you wanted to find each base. Next, the teams shared previously assigned ghillie suits – seeing 12 kids running around in those suits was very entertaining, they looked so funny!
The party was a blast; the boys along with their parents enjoyed their time with us and I even had a chance to talk to some of my neighbors that I have not seen for a while.
I strongly recommend the paintball party; it is quite inexpensive and you can keep the camo netting along with the ghillie suits for some other occasion such as Halloween or hunting.
